Teeth and other updates…

Hey baby. Sorry I havent updated in awhile. U have gotten to be an animated handful, to say the least.

Let’s see… in October of 2010, we took you to Orlando Florida. Your second road trip (the first was to Minnesota to see Uncle Stefon, Aunt Grace and your Godbrother Maceo). On the way to Florida…you got your first tooth.

In November, you were baptized at St Thomas the Apostle (where I graduated from 8th grade). A lot of people came out to see you. Your Godfather (Stefon) drove down from Minnesota and your Godmother (Aunt Elizabeth) made the trek from Skokie. Your Grandpa Larry even found a way to get there for the event. We went to Leona’s in Hyde park to eat afterwards and you had tomatoes for the first time….loved em. U ate all the tomatoes out of your mom’s soup!!  hahaha

I tried to give you baby food, but u dont like it all that much. You eat grown up food. This week (March 2011) you had your first strawberries. U are now addicted. You regularly eat Clam Chowder, Vegetable soup, toast, bagels, dry cereal, banannas, plums, cookies, noodles, turkey meat….anything we eat – you take it! You are gettin so big, so fast…it’s mind-blowing.

You are a HUGE fan of sesame street. Elmo can do no wrong. We watch it together daily. You now say “Heyyy” all the time. You said “Baby” once or twice. Thats it so far on the words. You can wave ‘bye-bye’, which is pretty funny.

You stand-up on your own and last week you took a couple steps with no help, but that was about it. You walk around here with the assistance of chairs, couches and tables…but you are on the move, without a doubt. U now have 8 strong teeth in your mouth. 4 up top, 4 down bottom. You know how to turn on the PlayStation3 and you do it often.

You will be one year old in about 7 weeks. Its crazy how the time flew by. You were born at 19 inches long…. now you are well over 2 feet tall with a head full of wild hair!!!

You got sick for the first time last week. You threw up in your crib while you were sleeping. The next day, you had a slight fever, but u were still very active and engaged, so I didnt take you to the hospital. It went away on its own and you bounced right back! Gotta thank your mom for the breast milk!!!! It keeps you super healthy!

Once you start walking, we can go outside more. I cant wait to show you what its like in Chicago in the summertime. You’re gonna LOVE IT!!!!!  =)
